A series of workshops I did for A Level Playing Field as a part of a project centred around the birds that live on the dell in Druids Heath, Birmingham.

There are over 35 species that live in the area, with the ‘star of the show’ being the Common Whitethroat. Which migrates from just outside the Sahara desert to the common land in Druids Heath during the spring.

In these workshops, members of the public were invited to draw or collage heir own birds, and were encouraged to try and think about what the birds might say if they could speak.

These artworks will be displayed, accompanied by Emily Warner’s sound pieces, at the project’s launch event.
